Mighty Hunter in the 21st Century: Yeah, it's... →
dcwomenkickingass: Comment left today in response to the post on the Nielsen Survey. Have you considered starting your own independent comics publisher? Then you can make comics the way YOU think they should be made…rather than trying to get a billion dollar corporation like WBE to… Argh…so much BS >.<  *rage*  I’ll admit it’s hard to be interested in something...

This past week has to have been the most f’d up mixture of amazement at joy.  The impossible happening and even now I’m still struggling to accept the reality of it all.  Thanks for not playing any pranks on me life.  Much appreciated.

It’s moments like this one where I find myself taking delight in an others misery.  I’m in no way related to the cause of that misery but it’s hard to not enjoy the fact that it’s happening. So I feel guilty. Almost. Maybe a little… Or not at all. Definitely not when I’m expected to listen to someones tale up heart ache and woe with patience and...

How Jack became the Face of Boe theory →
doctor-who-companion: Captain Jack is the Face of Boe. Captain Jack cannot die. Captain Jack was once a Time Agent, or pretends to be one. Captain Jack wears a vortex manipulator. Dorium Maldovar sold River a vortex manipulator “fresh off the wrist of a handsome Time Agent.” Dorium Maldovar works with the Headless Monks from time to time. The Headless Monks decapitate people. The Face of...

So many things I want to type right now but none of them are nice.  Instead they are catty and entirely necessary.  Totally personal and to be said to the person who deserves them but who really wouldn’t give a rats ass. It’s that constant tug and pull of wanting attention, not getting it and people ending up sad.  So I try and do things differently.  I try to be happier.  I make...

Short term goals for long term gain...
No random purchasing of art supplies until the ones I have are used up. No eating away from home if it can be helped.  Only when under 5$ or at friends homes where I can provide veggies to the meal and help. No more new clothes.  Only second hand and only when I really need them.  Clothing swaps are amazing! I also own way too much clothing. Get the sewing machine fixed!  I can make much...

You Must See This
tarabba: Oh man. This makes my heart hurt. So gorgeous and the Simpsons quotes are always a plus. So beautiful. ladiesmakingcomics: gailsimone: Honest to god, this hit me like a steamroller. I am not familiar with the name Rebecca Sugar, but holy CRAP. Just go read this short, beautiful webcomic. http://dawolfey.wordpress.com/2011/05/13/dont-cry-for-me-im-already-dead-by-rebecca-sugar/ ...

Being an adult today seems to mean allowing myself to be thrown under the bus when a manager of sorts has one of her freak outs.  I gave her all the shipping information she needed. This Bitch plays out her own incompetence as mine to our office back in Colorado. You dishonourable cow!   Next time you will be the one with egg on your face.  I will not be so kind in to you in the future but I...

Inner Happy
For the first time in the last 30+ days I feel like I’m more my normal self.  I don’t need to talk/rationalise myself out of funks that can last for days or weeks at a time.  There’s less self hate again and I’m swinging back in to the mischievous brat that I enjoy being.  The one that loves to give people heart felt compliments and observations that make them blush and...

A summary
This is a look at the last year, through the first line of my first blog post of each month. Wrinkles don’t scare me As we say in my friend(chosen family) circle…GIVE ME BACON OR GIVE ME DEATH!!! <3 Call me twisted but when I see something like this it makes me wonder if anyone local would be willing to wear similar boa like feather structures but attached to rings that would be...

sweetupndown: you thought I didn’t really notice. But I did. I wanted to high-five you. Yesterday I had a pair of brothers in my store. One was maybe between 15-17. He was a wrestler at the local high school. Kind of tall, stocky and handsome. He had a younger brother, who was maybe about…

Pencil - a traditional 2D animation software →
smooshybread: I’ve been playing with this little free animation software and I find it pretty satisfying. It’s a really simple, basic program, but I like the way that it mimics the look of pencil-drawn sketches; I feel like I can draw in a more natural style with Pencil than with Flash. Obviously Flash is a much more complex program and allows for all different sorts of control over the way your...
